ULVERSTONEBUILTLOCAL.
Construction photography, video and content strategy for Ulverstone and Central Coast builders. It's where On Site Strategy is based, so a shoot here costs you no travel.
LOCAL TO THE CENTRAL COAST
I work out of Ulverstone and cover the Central Coast: Ulverstone itself, Penguin, Turners Beach and Forth, as well as Devonport and Burnie either side. If you build in this part of the North-West, I'm local.
PLATINUM PRO CONSTRUCTION: FINISHED HOMES, AND A PLAN FOR WHAT TO SHOW
Platinum Pro is a local building company, and the work I do with them is two things that go together.
The first is photography of finished homes. Two jobs show the range. One is a two-storey home with a curved timber-clad upper level, shot at dusk when the white render and the cladding glow against a purple sky. The other is a light-filled single-storey home with a brick-and-gable street front and a central courtyard, which an overhead drone shot shows far better than any street-level photo could. Inside, the photos follow the build detail: a stone feature wall in the hallway, a vaulted living room with an exposed pitch of glazing, a kitchen with a long island and timber shelving, and a bathroom with a speckled stone floor and a tiled vanity.
The second is the part you can't see in a photo: knowing what to shoot and why. Michael Paske, content and sales manager at Platinum Pro, said it in a Google review:
"On Site Strategy has helped shape our Platinum Pro Construction media strategy and gave us so much more direction on what we need to be putting out there."

That's how I work with every builder. The strategy comes first, because a builder who knows what each piece of content is for will get more from it than one with a folder of nice pictures.

HOW I'D SHOOT YOUR HANDOVER
A finished home needs about the same running order every time, and it pays to get it right before the shoot day rather than on it.
Get the house ready. Tradies' gear out, rubbish gone, lights and power on, the garden tidy, any styling in place. I can shoot around a few loose ends, but cleaning up a photo costs more than cleaning up a room.
Start outside, then go in. The exterior wants the best light of the day, which is often late afternoon through to dusk. Interiors want daylight coming through the windows, so I plan the order of the day around the sun's position, not the clock.
Wide first, then detail. Wide frames show the plan and the flow. Detail frames, such as a joinery edge, a tile pattern or a stone wall, show the standard. You need both. Builders who only have wide photos look the same as everyone else.
Add the air. A drone shot of the site and street shows the block, the orientation and the neighbourhood, which clients in Ulverstone and Penguin often care about as much as the floor plan.
WHAT FINISHED-HOME PHOTOGRAPHY SHOULD DO FOR YOU
A handover is the best sales material a builder has, and most of it never gets used. Photographing a home properly does three jobs at once:
- It shows the standard you build to, in a way a client can judge from their phone.
- It gives you images for your website, socials and tender packs.
- It records the details you're proud of, so the next conversation starts from the finish and not from a sketch.
The Platinum Pro set covers a dusk exterior, bright interiors and a drone view, so there's an image for every use, from a website hero to a tender pack.
WORKING WITH AN ULVERSTONE BUILDER
The simplest start is The Showcase, from $1,800, which captures one job properly. If you want a complete library, The Build starts from $5,500. If you'd rather have it managed, there are monthly plans that cover planning, shooting and posting. All of it is on the services page.
Because I'm local, there's no travel to build into the price, and a small job doesn't have to wait for a trip.
